Economics don't mean shit...

Ok, so I got word on some horrible things happening 'round over there in China, my favorite country (at least that's what China says). I have no idea what they get out of this, but it seems to me like they are just trying to piss us, and the rest of the world off. I mean, could you be any more blatantly breaking the rules on animal cruelty? I know, I know, it's China; they don't have (or will they) follow the rest of the world's rules, but it just seems a given that doing this publically (at a zoo) will get you very negative press.

That another thing, at a zoo? What the hell. I can just imagine how they advertised this: "Come one, come all! To see the worlds first, and most amazing event ever! See us, the handlers, defile our animals and make them do things they weren't meant to do in the Animal Olympics! Special apperance by tutu-wearing, maze-navigating, docile bear!"

Btw, that's no joke: "a docile brown bear is dressed in a tutu while navigating a makeshift obstacle course."
